Field Guide functions as an extension of Field Studio’s work and creates opportunities for the artworks, spaces, and people we photograph to find correspondence and resonance with each other across time and context. Issue 000 serves as an introduction to both Field Studio and the publication itself. Looking forward, future issues of Field Guide will invite guest writers to develop original concepts shaped by selections from the Field Studio image archive synthesized with their own research and interests. Over time, Field Guide will create points of intersection for evolving ideas, discourse, and the shifting contexts in which images find new meaning.
